Ida requested to spend her 4th birthday at the beach. It was an unseasonably warm, sunny day, and the water was splendid. She was joined by friends, big and small. Despite the potential for sand issues, Chris and I kept to our tradition of making a number cake, and it all worked out just fine. We were having so much fun at the beach, though, that we were not so great at capturing the day on camera. These photos are from Ida's birthday dinner at home, where she was served her meal of choice - tofu, broccoli and mac and cheese. No kidding. And cupcakes.
